  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 1 large egg (for filling)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for filling)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for topping)
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, beat the cream cheese with sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth; set aside.
  3. For the crumb topping, mix flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon; cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  4. Cream softened butter with granulated sugar until fluffy; add eggs one at a time along with vanilla and sour cream.
  5. Combine dry ingredients and mix into wet until just combined.
  6. Layer half the batter in the pan, top with cream cheese mixture and blueberries, then add remaining batter and sprinkle with crumb topping.
  7. Bake for 45–50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean. Let cool before slicing.
