- 8 sheets phyllo dough
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup semolina flour
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup honey, warmed
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish (9×13 inches).
- Layer 7 sheets of phyllo in the dish, brushing each with melted butter.
- In a bowl, whisk together semolina flour, eggs, sugar, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the filling over the phyllo base and top with one more sheet of phyllo brushed with butter.
- Lightly score the top layer and bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool for about 10 minutes before drizzling with warmed honey and sprinkling sesame seeds.
