  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and instant yeast; let sit until frothy. In another bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Combine melted butter and egg with the yeast mixture, then blend into dry ingredients until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth (about 5–7 minutes). Place in a greased bowl, cover it, and let rise for about 60 minutes until doubled.
  3. Prepare the cheesecake filling by mixing cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, chopped strawberries, and strawberry jam until smooth.
  4. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle (16×24 inches), spread the cheesecake filling over it evenly.
  5. Mix softened butter with brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over the filling.
  6. Roll up tightly from one long edge into a log shape and slice into 12 pieces. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Cover rolls with a towel and allow to rise again for about 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for approximately 25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. While baking, prepare the cream cheese glaze by whisking together softened cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk to desired consistency.
  10. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls before serving.
