- 1 cup Italian Blend shredded cheese
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- Fresh basil (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons butter (cut up into 1/4-inch slices)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a 9-inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, blend whipped cream cheese, milk, dried basil, and ground nutmeg until smooth.
- Layer half of the zucchini slices in the baking dish; season with salt and pepper. Add a layer of tomato slices topped with half the garlic and fresh basil.
- Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the tomatoes and sprinkle with half of the shredded cheese.
- Repeat layering with remaining zucchini, tomatoes, garlic, basil, cream cheese mixture, and top with leftover shredded cheese.
- Dot with butter slices and bake for 22 to 25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
